Over 17 days from 9-25 February, the sands and streets of Surfers Paradise will come alive in a celebration of sand, sea and sport inspired art.
Sea creatures will return again in the form of gigantic inflatable art scattered throughout the precinct, as well as other spectacular art forms that are brand new to the Sand Safari Arts Festival. The popular free event features the Australian Sand Sculpting Championships, drawing thousands of spectators to admire the country’s most talented sculptors, as they intricately carve life-sized masterpieces over the course of the weekend. Watch as mermaids and mythical creatures line the foreshore with each sculpture encapsultating a different sporting theme.
